The European Technical Assessment (ETA) is an alternative for construction products not covered by a harmonised standard. It is a document providing information on their performance assessment.
The procedure is established in the Construction Products Regulation and offers a way for manufacturers to draw up the Declaration of Performance (Dop) and affix the CE marking.
There are 12 options of European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA) assessments, Option 1 - 6 are for cracked and non-cracked concrete, with Option 1 being the highest level for this category, which is able to be used in C20/25 up to C50/60 concrete. All the test of Option 1 level is outlines in ETAG 001 (1997) Annex C, Design A. The provision mad in this European technical approval are based on an predicted working life of the anchor of 50 years.
